The Level 4 & 5 Extended Diploma in Law is a 240 credit Ofqual regulated course designed to fast track students to an LLB top-up degree programme (the final year of university), which can either be completed at a UK university on campus or via distance learning.

Holders of the Level 5 Higher National Diploma will have developed a sound understanding of the principles in their field of study and will have learned to apply those principles more widely. They will have learned to evaluate the appropriateness of different approaches to solving problems. Law of Tort | This unit will equip learners with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles governing the law of tort. The unit aims to enable leaners to understand the foundations of tortious liability, remedies and defences. In order for students to be successful on this qualification an appropriate command of the English language is required as both the tuition and assessments are conducted in English.
All students who are non-native English speakers and who have not undertaken their final two years of schooling in English, can demonstrate capability in English at a standard equivalent to the levels identified below, before being recruited to the programme where the programme is both taught and assessed in English:
